There are certain things that I can do and that I choose not to do for one reason or another. I am very much like that when it comes to home projects. One that I would not do, even if I knew how, would be installing my own garage door. I know how easy it may seem, but it's not that simple. If I need one installed, I am using professional garage door repair installation.
It is so much easier to choose the door and have the company come out and install it for you. Sure, you can save money by doing it yourself, but just because you can, doesn't mean that you should.
The door not only has to be installed, but it has to be installed properly. If it is not or slightly askew or "close," it can cause the door not to function properly. It can also present a safety risk since it could fall on someone or something or it can not close/open so that it leaves your house open to anyone.
Instead of worrying about all of that, I would always go with the professional installation. I know that they have been doing this a long time, and they can accomplish the job much quicker than I ever could. After all, they have done hundreds to thousands of door installations.
